The medical education and continuous education department is considered one of the most significant achievements of Ibn Al-Haytham hospital. The department was inaugurated in late 2013, with the aim of following up all matters related to medical training and education, increasing the number of medical specialties’ programs, expanding the skills of professionals in various medical fields, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and others, and staying updated with innovations in the therapeutic process, which will ultimately be reflected positively on the overall patient care process.

The first accomplishment of (medical education and continuous education) department was the establishment of a scientific library and an electronic library, they were equipped with medical books necessary to all healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and others, additionally, the hospital has subscribed to many international medical websites enabling access to the latest international medical studies and treatment methods.

Some achievements of the department included:

- Accreditation of Ibn Al-Haytham hospital by (Arab Board) in the following specialties:

1. Pediatrics

2. Ophthalmology

3. General Surgery

4. Orthopedic Surgery

5. Neurosurgery

6- General Internal Medicine

7. Anesthesia and Intensive Care

In addition, the hospital has obtained (Jordanian Medical Council Accreditation) for the following specialties:

1. Pediatrics

2. Internal Medicine

3. General Surgery

4. Obstetrics and Gynecology

- Conducting specialized medical lectures periodically and organizing scientific days and medical conferences.

- Establishing educational committees for various medical specialties that follow up training of residents, conduct weekly lectures, and organize specialized workshops, in addition to perform educational rounds daily.

- Organizing monthly lectures, and publishing about them in official newspapers, these lectures cover various topics, where renowned consultants and specialists are featured as guest speakers, these lectures are attended by doctors from inside and outside the hospital.

- An affiliation and cooperation agreement has been made between Hussein Cancer Center and Ibn Al-Haytham hospital aiming at providing adequate training for resident doctors.

- A cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training center, that is, accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA), has been established.
