Seventh Nerve Palsy



A sixty-year-old patient was suffering from seventh nerve palsy, in addition to muscles’ sagging in the left side of the face due to having a previous brain surgery, he went under a surgery which was performed by Dr. Walid Qurrah Shooli, a specialist in plastic and reconstruction surgery. It involved using a membrane from the thigh muscle to tighten the drooping facial tissues and muscles, the right side of the face was also tightened to achieve overall facial symmetry. The anesthesia was administered by Dr. Hassan Ramadan, an anesthesia consultant, and the patient was discharged the following day in a good health with excellent results, and with no significant complications, thank God.
